This policy explains how Ads Expert AI ("we", "us") handles personal information. It covers this website (www.adsexpertai.app) and the Ads Expert AI web application, which connects to Google Ads accounts with the account owner's permission to produce read-only audits. It explains what data we collect, how we use, store and share it, and how you can have it deleted.
1. Who we are
Ads Expert AI is an independent Google Ads analysis service operated from the United Kingdom. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Google. Contact: webseodan@gmail.com.
2. Information you submit through this website
If you email us (including through "Request Early Access"), we receive the information you choose to send, such as your name, email address, company, website and details about your advertising. We use it to respond, to manage early-access interest and to contact you about the service.
3. Google user data the application accesses
When you choose to connect a Google Ads account, you sign in with Google and grant permission on Google's own consent screen. With that permission, the application accesses only the following data:
3.1 Google account identity
- Your name, email address and Google account ID (OpenID Connect scopes
openid,email,profile), used solely to create and sign in to your Ads Expert AI account.
3.2 Google Ads data (scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwords)
- Accessible accounts: customer IDs, account names, currency, time zone and manager (MCC) hierarchy, so you can choose which account to audit.
- Account settings: auto-tagging, tracking templates, conversion settings and account-level policies.
- Campaign structure: campaigns, ad groups, asset groups, statuses, networks, locations, languages, schedules and devices.
- Budgets and bidding: budget amounts, delivery methods, bid strategies, targets (such as target CPA or ROAS) and bid adjustments.
- Keywords and search terms: keywords, match types, negative keywords and lists, quality score components and search-term reports.
- Ads and assets: ad text, headlines, descriptions, final URLs, extensions/assets, ad strength and policy approval status.
- Audiences: audience segments and targeting settings attached to campaigns (not lists of individual people; the Google Ads API does not expose personal data about the people in your audiences).
- Shopping and Performance Max: product group, listing group and asset group configuration and performance.
- Conversions: conversion actions, their settings and attributed conversion counts and values.
- Performance reports: aggregated metrics such as impressions, clicks, cost, conversions, conversion value and impression share, by date and segment.
We do not access your Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, calendar, billing payment methods or any Google service other than those listed above.
4. How we use Google user data
Google user data is used only to provide the audit features you request:
- Running automated checks against our audit framework (for example finding wasted spend, missing negative keywords, tracking gaps or budget-limited campaigns);
- Producing the audit report, scores, findings and recommendations shown to you inside the application;
- Generating plain-language explanations of those findings, which may use an AI model (see section 6);
- Showing changes between audits of the same account over time, if you run more than one.
The application is read-only. Although Google's Ads API permission technically allows changes, Ads Expert AI never creates, edits, pauses or deletes campaigns, ads, keywords, budgets, bids or any other setting. Any change to your account is made by you, in Google Ads.
We do not:
- sell Google user data, or transfer it to data brokers or information resellers;
- use it for advertising, retargeting or building user profiles for ads;
- use it to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes;
- use it to develop, improve or train generalised or foundational AI/ML models;
- let any human read it, except with your explicit consent for a specific support request, where needed for security (e.g. investigating abuse), to comply with law, or when aggregated and anonymised for internal operations.
Ads Expert AI's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
5. How we store and protect Google user data
- OAuth tokens: Google access and refresh tokens are stored only on our servers, encrypted at rest (AES-256), never sent to your browser or included in website code, and accessible only to the backend process that fetches audit data.
- Google Ads data and reports: stored in an access-controlled database, encrypted at rest and in transit (TLS 1.2+), and isolated per customer so only your signed-in account can see your audits.
- Access controls: production access is limited to authorised personnel using multi-factor authentication, and access is logged.
6. How we share Google user data
We do not share Google user data with third parties except:
- Infrastructure providers (hosting and database) that store and process data on our behalf under data-processing agreements and may not use it for their own purposes;
- AI model providers, to which we send only the minimum audit findings needed to write explanations. These providers are contractually prohibited from retaining the data beyond the request or using it to train their models;
- Legal requirements, where disclosure is required by law, or to protect rights, safety or security;
- Business transfer, in a merger or acquisition, with notice to you and the same protections continuing.
7. Retention and deletion
- OAuth tokens: kept while your Google Ads account is connected; deleted immediately when you disconnect, delete your account, or revoke access at Google.
- Raw Google Ads data fetched for an audit: deleted within 30 days of the audit being generated.
- Audit reports: kept while your account is active so you can view history; deleted within 30 days of account deletion or of your request.
- Backups: deleted data is purged from backups within a further 30 days.
- Enquiry emails: kept for up to 24 months, then deleted.
To delete all your data at any time, use the delete option in the application (once available) or email webseodan@gmail.com from the address on your account. We will confirm deletion within 30 days.
8. Revoking access
You can disconnect your Google Ads account inside the application, or revoke Ads Expert AI's access at any time from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Once revoked, we can no longer read your data, and stored tokens are deleted as described above.
9. Children
Ads Expert AI is a business service and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
10. Cookies and analytics
This website does not currently set advertising or analytics cookies. Our hosting provider may process technical data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver and secure the site. If we introduce non-essential cookies or analytics, we will update this policy and ask for consent where required.
11. Legal bases and your rights under UK GDPR
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and to data portability. To exercise these rights, email webseodan@gmail.com. We aim to respond within one month. We process data to perform our contract with you (running audits you request), on the basis of your consent (connecting Google Ads, which you can withdraw at any time) and for our legitimate interests (securing the service and replying to enquiries). You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
12. Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for material changes, notify account holders by email before the change takes effect. Questions: webseodan@gmail.com.
