What is a Google Ads audit?
A structured review of a Google Ads account covering settings, conversion tracking, bidding, budgets, keywords, search terms, ads and Performance Max where evidence is available. It records findings and investigation priorities, separates observations from hypotheses and states what could not be checked. It does not prove financial loss or guaranteed savings.
What does Ads Expert AI check?
The premium report combines 36 account-engine checks, 14 performance checks and 100 additional report checks. These are not 150 independent confirmations of account health. Each result states its scope; missing evidence stays not assessed. Your report separates the checks defined from those actually assessed.
Does a pass mean that part of my account is fine?
Only within that check's stated scope. For example, configured conversion actions do not prove your tags fire or count real customers. The report says what each result does and does not prove.
How is this different from an automated audit tool?
Findings cite dated evidence and affected account objects where captured. Unknowns stay visible, and a person reads every report before it is released to you. Neither an automated score nor human review proves that your tracking is correct or your account is profitable.
Can I use the report to check my agency?
Yes. Use dated findings and captured campaign, ad or keyword references to ask precise questions. Where object-level evidence is missing, the report should identify the gap rather than recommend edits. Findings are not accusations of mismanagement.
Do you predict savings or guaranteed results?
No. Spend with no recorded conversions is an observation for a stated period, not proof of waste or recoverable savings. Results can depend on tracking, attribution and delayed conversions. Real customer acquisition costs and profitability need verified sales, revenue and margin inputs; missing inputs stay unknown.
How do I audit a Google Ads account?
Define the business goal and date range, validate conversion measurement, check evidence completeness, then inspect account settings and dated performance. Separate observed issues from hypotheses and proposed changes. Record prerequisites and an independent measurement plan before approving any intervention. Our methodology page explains these steps.
Does a free account score replace a full audit?
No. An indicative score is a limited diagnostic, not proof of overall account health. Its usefulness depends on which checks were applicable and actually assessed. A reviewed report adds scoped evidence and limitations; neither guarantees results.
Does spend with no conversions mean wasted money?
Not necessarily. It means no conversions were recorded in the stated scope and period. Tracking gaps, attribution, delayed conversions or a mismatch between platform events and sales can affect that result. It does not establish recoverable savings or justify stopping a campaign by itself.
How often should I audit my Google Ads account?
Choose a review cadence around material account changes, a new agency, measurement changes or a business decision. Before comparing reports, allow for your conversion delay and use comparable periods. A monthly credit is an allowance, not evidence that every account needs a monthly intervention.
Can a Google Ads audit prove profitability?
Not from Google Ads metrics alone. Platform-reported ROAS is not profit, and a conversion is not necessarily a paying customer. Profitability needs verified revenue, costs and margins; real customer acquisition cost needs verified new customer counts. Without those inputs, the answer remains unknown.
